THE MOON!!

In the San Jose Mercury News I was interested to know in Silicon Valley there is research being done to help America design the lunar lander. The article “At NASA Ames, designing America’s next lunar lander” by Mike Swift, mentioned the NASA Ames research center in Mountain View are trying to design the next lunar lander. It plans to land by 2020, I found this very interesting because I like to know the latest things with science. Knowing something about the moon is very interesting because it good to know what is going outside of earth and what is best for astronauts’ to be save in space and find research. As I was reading this article I found others sources that related about NASA, because we are updated or may not have a lot of knowledge on a daily basis on what is going on in NASA or what a lunar lander is. I went and researched and found out what NASA purpose and proposal is for the lunar lander which will be made later in Spring 2009. I hope by 2020 they will be able to have this new and modified lunar lander. Famous Apollo astronauts like Charlie Duke, Harrison Schmitt, and Rusty Schweickart felt landing on the moon was a great experience and basically what is needed to be done and engineers are working really hard to build the lunar landing and how it should interact with a human pilot. When I was reading this it made me think how science and new technology is changing for the better for all human beings. I am glad people in the NASA and astronauts’ who help and alert Earth of any danger in space are brave and brilliant people which amaze me.

  1. Hello Yahaira,
the topic you chose does sound interesting. You show that you have done the research and have background knowledge. The one problem that does seem to reoccur is that you have run on sentences. It seems as if you are just writing what you are thinking without double checking. One way that helps me to fix this for myself is to read out loud. This way you can hear how it sounds. Although you did do a good job explaining your topic. I hope I am helpful and not just bothering you.

Super job on outside research and links! You are using a blog like it was meant to be used! How about pushing yourself to include more sounds and images . . .
